The eye of the storm

In war the greater the sacrifice the greater the cost. Over the 17 years of the Horde war Marcus had sacrificed much. Friends, family, entire cities all gone. Now he sits remembering the cost, and when we realize the cost can we see what we fight for. Hope. Done for the Gears of War 3 contest. This was done in Photoshop CS5. It was my first piece done solely in CS5. 27 layers, 8 layer masks and over 100+ hours. I learned allot and realized I have allot to learn still. I did it in a very short time( about 1 week) from concept to finished product. I am going to do slight variation a redo it to what I wanted it to be without the crazy deadline.
